Your missions

Telix Pharmaceuticals is a dynamic, fast-growing radiopharmaceutical company with offices in Australia (HQ), Belgium, Japan, Switzerland, and the United States. Our mission is to deliver on the promise of precision medicine through targeted radiation. At our core, we exist to create products that seek to improve the quality of life for people living with cancer and rare diseases. You will be supporting the international roll-out of our approved prostate cancer imaging agent and helping us to advance our portfolio of late clinical-stage products that address significant unmet need in oncology and rare diseases.

See Yourself at Telix

The Associate Director, Compliance - Americas plays a critical role in maintaining the reputation of integrity for Telix and its largest and fastest-growing region. You will work closely with leaders across the entire business to design, develop, and implement a dynamic, metrics-driven ethics and compliance program that manages risks and helps protect the organization from potential legal, regulatory, and reputational issues. Success in this role requires both a keen understanding of the Telix culture and our business and the ability to partner with employees across the company to implement a strong, risk-focused compliance program.

Key Accountabilities

The Associate Director, Compliance - Americas, will oversee day-to-day compliance operations for the United States, Telix’s largest market by both headcount and revenue, as well as our smaller but growing Canadian and LatAm markets. Success in this role means rolling up-your-sleeves; Telix is seeking someone who understands the importance of data and metrics in creating and delivering and effective compliance program, but can also “translate” metrics into clear, actionable policies, procedures, or systems to bolster our compliance program in the midst of a period of significant growth for Telix, particularly in the US.

This role requires developing, implementing, and directing the Americas compliance program for Telix including drafting policies and procedures, creating and implementing metrics, engaging in auditing, monitoring, and investigations, creating educational programs (training) and communications, and advising employees across Telix including both field-facing teams and senior executives. The Associate Director, Compliance - Americas is part of the Telix Legal, Compliance and IP Team and reports to the Group Compliance Officer.

Expected activities include:

  • Providing input on company compliance strategy;
  • Strengthen and manage Telix’s US health care professional (HCP) compliance program;
  • Developing and overseeing controls and systems to prevent or address violations;
  • Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously;
  • Drafting new policies and procedures, and periodically reviewing and revising existing ones to identify risks in a changing company;
  • Leading compliance risk assessments;
  • Oversee the Americas transparency reporting program including the US Sunshine Act/Open Payments and local and state reporting
  • Designing and implementing processes or systems to monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies;
  • Training employees to promote a culture of integrity within the organization;
  • Monitoring the Compliance hotline and leading investigations;
  • Developing strong trust with employees to support company culture of ethics and integrity but also to best ensure effective program implementation;
  • Leading global projects within the broader Legal, Compliance and IP Team as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree in law, ethics, business, accounting, or data management or relevant certifications such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years’ experience working in a legal, compliance, internal audit, or risk management role within the health or life sciences industry required.
  • Working knowledge of the laws, regulations, and standards that affect US public companies operating in the pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, and health care industries.
  • Strong experience designing and leading compliance projects, including managing compliance committees, leading risk assessments preferred.
  • Strong experience within a global public company, including leading projects or teams with colleagues from around the world strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience working with global anti-corruption or other compliance rules in European, South American, Asian, and ANZ countries preferred
  • The ability to craft compelling narratives around compliance initiatives that create trust preferred.
  • Strong, proven experience in at least two of the following areas: data monitoring and analysis, risk mitigation, internal audit, systems management, investigations management, education and communication development, policy development, and compliance advising.
  • Ability to stay abreast of changing laws, regulations, and industry standards and communicate, or incorporate, those changes into the business.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of independently managing projects that bring meaningful change to organizations.
  • Experience working on sensitive matters or handling confidential information.
  • High-character individual with strong compass for ethics and integrity and a passion for advancing a culture of integrity within organizations.

At Telix, we believe everyone counts, we strive to be extraordinary, and we pursue our goals with determination and integrity. You will be part of an engaged and supportive group of colleagues who all have a shared purpose: to help people with cancer and rare diseases live longer, better quality lives. Being a Telix employee means being a part of a unique, global, interdisciplinary team working to deliver what's next in precision medicine. We have hybrid and remote employees located all around the world.  We offer competitive salaries, annual performance-based bonuses, an equity-based incentive program, generous vacation, paid wellness days and support for learning and development.
