  • ⭐️ We're a FLEXIBLE AND REMOTE-FIRST COMPANY with 11 employees and 7-figure revenues that recently won Tempo's Top 100 Start-up Award (2 years in a row) and Flexa's Industry Awards for Flexible SaaS and Software (2023).

ABOUT YOU:

You are an ambitious, self-driven individual, continually pushing boundaries and questioning norms, committed to revolutionising data protection practices and empowering companies to navigate compliance simply and effortlessly while fostering their growth.

While you are looking to relish the flexibility of managing your own time and various clients in a fast-paced startup environment, you are also looking to work as part of a stellar team of privacy professionals where mutual support and collaboration drive success.

Thriving in a technology-driven environment, you are prepared to say goodbye to the outdated “Keith” mindset to managing data privacy, which involve rigid adherence to rules, antiquated techniques, and reliance on Excel spreadsheets and traditional tools in the digital age. Your open-mindedness and ability to adapt make you stand out.

You are eager to work in a business at a pivotal moment in the startup journey - our product is soaring to new heights, and we're transitioning into a product-led era! Come and be a part of our thriving team and contribute to our success story!

ABOUT THE ROLE:
  • Act as the Data Privacy Advisor for a mutually agreed number of Trust Keith customers;
  • Manage the implementation of our product with your customers throughout customer journey, ensuring implementation progress is in line with SLAs.
  • Lead on customer calls, including Risk Committee meetings and monthly workshop calls, identifying and communicating the highest risks, and problem-solving data privacy challenges via the Trust Keith app.
  • Manage customers’ data protection support queries in line with data compliance requirements and our SLAs.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of your customers' risks and priorities by conducting data protection audits (which our app makes easy).
  • Constantly improve customer relationships, monitor their growth, and tailor our service to their needs throughout their journey.
  • Provide customer feedback on our app back to our Product Team

Requirements

APPLY IF YOU:

[We are an inclusive and diverse workplace, and we wholeheartedly welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join our team. We believe that a diverse range of thoughts, experiences, and perspectives greatly enhances our organisation and empowers us to excel together].

  • Can commit to a minimum of 64 hours of work per month, between Monday to Friday, UK time zone (this is a contractor contract, “outside IR35”)
  • You have at least 4+ years of experience in a data protection-oriented role and have certifications such as CIPP/E or C-DPO and IAPP Membership.
  • You have demonstrable experience working with UK/EU GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, PECR, UK/EEA and International data transfers.
  • Are self-motivated and thrive on working independently, and can manage your workload effectively without constant oversight.
  • You have worked with multiple customer/contractor roles.
  • You have exceptional customer-facing and stakeholder management skills to build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • You are confident in leading not always the easiest conversations on strategic data protection matters at the C-Suite or Board Level while taking a risk-based approach.
  • You have an exceptional understanding of risk management, including monitoring, advising and reporting on risks.
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills - simplifying complex topics comes naturally to you.
  • You have experience creating data protection documentation and assets (such as IARs, RoPAs, privacy notices, etc.)
  • You have experience in handling data subject access requests, incidents and breaches in line with data protection regulations.
  • You have outstanding organisational & time management skills to manage your time and work towards delivering outstanding results.
  • You are tech-savvy and not afraid to engage with technology.
  • Alignment with our values:
    • 🗣 Brave: You’re willing to challenge the status quo, share an unpopular opinion, and deliver and receive honest feedback
    • Diligent: You make yourself accountable by default, following through on what you say you’re going to do
    • 💛 Empathetic: You’re able to put yourself in the customers’ and other team members’ shoes, everyone is human after all
    • 🚀 Personal & Professional Growth Mindset: You’re ambitious, want to learn, grow, and become the best version of yourself
    • 🧞 Quirky: You don’t take yourself too seriously… We’re very aware we’re building a company in an ‘unsexy’ industry, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. We’re called Trust “Keith” because data compliance is often associated as a “boring” and “unsexy” subject stereotypically conducted by individuals with names like “Keith” [credit to Family Guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHAdR98D9Us]!
