Primary Objective:

The Development Operations Manager designs, builds, maintains, and evolves Spectrio’s cloud-based infrastructure. The DevOps manager with their team, maintains a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across production, QA, and development environments throughout the development lifecycle.


Responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Build, release, and manage the configuration of all production, QA, and development systems
  • Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies
  • Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement scalable software services
  • Ensure necessary system security by using best in class cloud security solutions
  • Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating solutions which align with the company’s systems and product strategy
  • Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary
  • Recommend and lead process and infrastructure improvements
  • Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domains
  • Support pre-production SQA testing and deployments to ensure the high quality of a company’s services and products
  • Manage a small team of DevOps professionals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS including EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3 services
  • 5+ years of experience with Linux/Unix system administration
  • 5+ years of experience in with application containers/runtimes such as Apache, Jetty, Java, .Net, Angular, JS, PHP, Ruby
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud/network based storage systems/platforms (AWS S3, NFS)
  • 1+ years of experience with Docker
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a DevOps environment
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting the engineering and maintaining cloud-native applications
  • 3+ years of experience managing database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB
  • 3+ years of experience network management (e.g. IP, Load Balancing/ ELB, DNS)
  • Experience working with Git
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum shop
  • Experience installing and configuring different application servers such as Apache, Jetty
  • Proficiency in script development and scripting languages
  • The ability to be a team player
  • The ability and skill to train other people in procedural and technical topics
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with interruptions and challenging deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

*Position is Remote.  Considering candidates in the Southeast U.S. including FL, NC & TX .
