Status: Full-time (depending on situation, Part-time or Fractional hours available)

Duration: Equivalent to minimum 520 Hours (or 3 months minimum)

Work location: Remote (with hybrid options in Toronto only)

Compensation: Hourly (paid in equity compensation equivalent to CAD $32-35/hour)

Role Overview:

We’re looking for an ESG Strategist & Analyst Intern who is eager to learn and grow in the field of corporate ESG reporting and understands the importance of adapting to the evolving landscape and stakeholder needs. The ideal candidate will share our passion for using AI for social impact particularly in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) While you don’t need to be an expert, having

Some familiarity with areas like carbon accounting, sustainable finance data analysis (ESG metrics and performance data) and impact investment will be a great advantage. Additionally, understanding or willingness to learn about

ESG reporting frameworks like GRI SASB CSRD and others will help you succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of ESG strategies and policies.
• Conduct research and analysis on ESG trends, best practices, and regulations.
• Analyze and interpret ESG data to support decision-making processes.
• Prepare reports and presentations on ESG performance and progress.
• Provide expertise in carbon accounting, emission calculations, and environmental data reporting.
• Create engaging content for internal and external communications, focusing on impact-driven storytelling.
• Collaborate with various departments to integrate ESG considerations into their operations.
• Monitor and report on emerging ESG risks and opportunities, with particular focus on social and governance impact

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (in progress or recently completed) or Bachelor's degree (recently completed) in Sustainability, Environmental Science /Policy /Engineering, Business, Finance,
• Communications and Marketing, Data Management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of ESG principles particularly in social impact ethical AI and SDGs
• Experience or deep interest in carbon accounting GHG Protocol an impact investing
• Exceptional writing and content strategy skills with an ability to create engaging ESG content for both internal and external stakeholders.
• A keen understanding of sustainable finance carbon markets and impact investment
• Strong strategic thinking and communication skills
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail and work collaboratively across virtual teams.
• Self-directed and highly motivated with an eagerness to learn and contribute meaningfully to our ESG journey.

Hiring Process:

3. Video Questionnaire: Candidates who successfully pass the written assessment will be asked to answer 10 additional questions to be submitted in a video format to further evaluate their skills and cultural fit. The ability to video record your answers will be required.
4. Evaluation: Our team will review the responses to both questionnaires. Candidates who meet our criteria will be invited to the next stage.
5. Orientation Session: Successful candidates will be invited to participate in an orientation session where they will learn more about Vosyn, our projects, and what to expect during the internship. After this session, you will be given the opportunity to opt-in if you choose that this internship is for you.
