We are seeking a skilled Manager, IT Cloud Infrastructure to lead and manage our AWS cloud infrastructure during a pivotal transformation. You will guide a talented team of engineers to ensure our cloud environments remain scalable, secure, and reliable.
This role offers the opportunity to design and deploy cutting-edge cloud solutions while optimizing performance and driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of cloud engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure to support Genesys’ global operations.
Optimize AWS resources (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda) for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Oversee cloud security measures, including IAM roles, policies, and security groups.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities through comprehensive backup and DR strategies.
Automate cloud infrastructure using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and IT teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Stay current on AWS offerings and industry best practices, recommending improvements and enhancements.
Monitor and troubleshoot system performance to ensure uptime and resolve infrastructure issues promptly.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1+ years of experience managing IT teams, with a focus on cloud environments and staff development.
5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, with a focus on AWS.
Proven track record in optimizing AWS services for cost and performance improvements.
Strong understanding of AWS core services: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and scripting for automation.
Familiarity with cloud security measures and best practices.
Strong networking knowledge (VPN, DNS, load balancing, BGP, firewalls).
Proficiency with monitoring tools like CloudWatch and SolarWinds.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator (highly preferred).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$101,150.00 - $198,450.00
