Your missions

Overview:

Management role within the Facilities Department with oversight of personnel, company equipment, ticketing system, safety procedures and overall facilities.

 

Manages and participates in the daily appearance of buildings, parking facilities, and surrounding areas.  Responsible for work order system, assignment/ completion of tickets, vendor relationship management and maintaining positive relationships within the Regional footprint.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Facilities Department in order to ensure the proper planning, maintenance, and efficiency of the Company's various physical locations and general equipment as follows:
    • Assist in the process of facilities planning and design to include renovations to existing branches and all new branches.
    • Ensure that all facilities and general equipment are properly utilized, maintained, etc.
    • Monitor all service contracts and determine adequacy and cost effectiveness.
    • Coordinate and inspect facilities expansion, remodeling, landscaping, etc.; supervise external contractors and evaluate their performance on the project versus specifications.
    • Facilitate the repair or replacement of any problems with facilities or general equipment, e.g., HVAC, plumbing, outside structure, etc.; follow up to completion.
    • Assist in the overall security program of the Company; may make inspections and test systems as directed.
    • Inspect buildings regularly.
    • Ensures grounds are properly maintained.
    • Schedule repair and maintenance duties, i.e., carpet cleaning, painting, etc.
    • Monitor requests for maintenance services and schedule service times with the requesting department/individual.
    • Assist Security Officer in equipment selections and installation.
    • Handle renting and leasing of all Company owned
  • Implement strategies to achieve goals assigned to the department as established in the Company’s annual operating plan;
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget for the department and adhere to budget parameters.
  • Work directly with local municipal authorities and fire departments to ensure that all zoning, permitting and coding matters are handled appropriately.
  • Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
  • Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Company's compliance with all regulatory requirements; ensure that the department and all personnel adhere to the same.
  • Organize the work and activities of the Facilities Department in order to achieve established goals; monitor the efficiency and performance of the department versus established standards.
  • Process and/or approve invoices relating to Company properties and utilities.
  • Directly supervise assigned personnel as follows:
    • Assist in the selection of new personnel as appropriate.
    • Make provisions for the proper orientation and training of new personnel.
    • Review employee performance throughout the probationary period and on a regularly scheduled basis thereafter.
    • Organize, schedule, and distribute work among assigned personnel.
    • Keep personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting the department and/or their jobs; create an atmosphere in which upward communication from employees is encouraged.
    • Administer personnel policies and procedures as established by Company policy.
  • Communicate with the Market President, Human Resources, other department managers, and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.
  • Provide periodic reports to the Market President and other groups as required throughout the Company.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; specialized building and equipment training.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' related experience.
  • Proficient abilities relating to building and equipment systems, e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Visual and auditory skills.
  • Project Management skills, knowledge of safety and building codes, vendor relationship management and pricing negotiation skills.
  • Ability to review, understand and negotiate contracts.
