The associate machine learning (ML) Engineer will be a self-starter who will continue progress on projects and help shape new directions for the organization. They will work closely with internal and external teammates, in a very collaborative environment, to take technologies to new software and services.


We are looking for Associate ML Engineers from all areas of machine learning and artificial intelligence. The candidate must be passionate and able to demonstrate ability for independent research. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with internal partners to see your ideas realized in multiple products and services. 

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
  • DOD experience
  • BS in Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or 3 years of related experience
  • Must be able to work EST business hours 
  • Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architectures (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current large-scale distributed software systems
  • Experience with computer vision and natural language processing. Familiarity with image recognition, object detection, segmentation, and NLP techniques such as sentiment analysis, text classification, and topic modeling
  • Experience with generative AI techniques and tool deployment
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and langchain
  • Professional software development experience
  • Demonstrated programming fluency in Python
  • Mastery in communication of technical ideas to non-technical / lay audiences
  • Ability to translate goals/aspirations into practical and deliverable solutions
  • Familiarity with accessing, managing, transferring, integrating, and analyzing high-resolution and highly complex datasets, using database management systems (knowledge in SQL)
  • Applied experience building models containing disparate data streams
  • Desire to be involved in multiple diverse and innovative projects


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience building and/or working with data pipelines and data lakes
  • Experience using scale-out cloud and/or HPC architectures for parallel programming

LEADERSHIP:

  • Individual contributor, active participant in discussions with AI/ML peers
