Redstone Commodity Search is working with an Indian commodity trading firm to hire a Technical Natural Rubber Trader to join their team, working remotely and focused on rubber exports from Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, and Liberia.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Manage and grow a self-sourced portfolio of natural rubber clients, expanding relationships with existing customers across Western Africa.
- Liaise with clients on new trade inquiries, secure credit approvals through the company’s processes, and execute trade deals.
- Maximize profitability from deal inception to delivery, ensuring optimal margin on each transaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and global rubber demand to identify new trading opportunities.
- Provide detailed reporting to the relevant line manager (CEO, Head of Trading).
Key Qualifications / Experience
- At least 6 years of experience in trading natural rubber or similar agricultural commodities.
- Strong understanding of the West African rubber market and export processes.
- Proven track record in managing client portfolios and expanding market presence.
- Familiarity with credit risk management and trade execution.
- Proven ability to travel for work setting client meetings and retaining positive relationships through well-organized.
