The Job: 

Team Global Express understand that good Truck Drivers are a rare resource that need to be respected and valued especially in regional locations. We have exciting full time permanent opportunities for experienced VAN Driver at our Port Hedland Depot.

With highly competitive over market hourly rate and benefits and you get to work with an amazing team. On top of that - we are obsessed with safety and valuing our employees.

  • Monday to Friday shifts - 6.00am - 4:30pm

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • To represent Team Global Express in a professional manner while picking up freight from customers and delivering to customers and in a consistent and timely manner.

  • To ensure freight is securely loaded and unloaded and lifted/transported in accordance with safety regulations.

  • Adhering to scanning and Proof of Delivery procedures and safe and law-abiding driving practices. The driver is expected to understand and respect TGE’s OH&S policies and procedures.

  • Accept or reject Dangerous Goods in line with legal requirements.

  • Manage and collect all consignment paperwork and/or manifests and notes at pickup points

  • Ensure freight is packaged in a safe and effective manner

 

About you: 

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Current and valid C Class driving licence.

  • Current valid Forklift licence.

  • Experience with handheld barcode scanning devices.

  • Experience in pick-up and delivery of general and express freight.

  • Dangerous Goods awareness.

  • Experience with radio communications systems.

  • Experience with Load Restraint Systems & Equipment.

  • Experience with restraining loads in accordance with National Transport Commission’s Load Restraint Guidelines.

  • Ability to pass pre-checks (medical/background/D&A)
