THE HIGH LEVEL

Iron Bow Technologies has an immediate need for an experienced Enterprise Datacenter Server Engineer interested in a remote opportunity!

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Selected candidate will work directly with customer teams to provide advanced engineering services inclusive of both test and real-world environment
  • Perform highly complex technical tasks, solve highly complex technical problems or issues concerning customer’s enterprise Cisco infrastructure and it’s interconnections with other vendor’s systems
  • Support the management, functionality, and security of customer’s Cisco inventory within the enterprise
  • Participate in and support joint discussions with customer stakeholders on their overall software strategy to include the development of operating procedures and support documentation
  • The Enterprise Datacenter Server Engineer will engineer, design, implement and troubleshoot datacenter server systems across the customer enterprise in customer owned and leased spaces
  • Projects will include enhancements to security, transition to IPv6, automation, design and configuration planning of new equipment.
  • Lead implementations with multiple customer teams to accomplish mission goals.
  • Assist with both high-level and low-level design documentations
  • Effectively work independently and within a team environment

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Expertise with Cisco Datacenter Fiber Channel switches, Servers, Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) Central and related products, Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC), Intersight, UCS Manager, Intersight Managed Mode, and firmware management.
  • Expertise with designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise level large, multi-site, multi-vendor Datacenters.
  • Expertise in Automation of networking and server installation, UCS Scripting, vulnerability remediation, and configuration updates.
  • Expertise with oversight of a team running a trouble ticket system.
  • Demonstrated success using modern DevOps methods and tools including automated testing tools and monitoring tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive frequent release cycles (daily/weekly).
  • Minimum Education Level - Current CCIE Datacenter Certification
  • Minimum 15 years’ Experience as a datacenter engineer spanning multiple locations.
  • Remote position; local proximity and ability to periodically work on customer site  in Austin, TX or Cleveland, OH is highly desired.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance (existing clearance strongly preferred)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Anticipated travel is up to 10%
