Overview:

 

The inventory Valuation & Processes Department is looking to bring on a team member to handle the day-to-day responsibilities as well as be responsible for innovating the current processes. We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter that is proficient at utilizing business intelligence software, willing to collaborate, and able to multitask. This team member will report to the Department Manager. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement inventory accounting controls

  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to Inventory Valuation.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain consistent inventory valuation methodologies and procedures.

  • Perform regular valuations of inventory using various costing methods (FIFO, LIFO, Average Cost).

  • Analyze and reconcile inventory discrepancies, investigating and resolving any inconsistencies.

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely inventory valuation reports to management.

  • Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and best practices for inventory valuation.

  • Contribute to maintaining positive relationships with internal stakeholders.

  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing Inventory team processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in credit administration or a similar role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.

  • Experience with credit scoring models, financial analysis, and collections a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
