Job Description
Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Clerk will be a part of the Human Resources Team and responsible for a variety of duties vital to ensuring accuracy of payments and records, as well as fielding general payroll related questions for U-Haul U.S. and Canadian Team members.
Essential Duties:
Prepare and process adjustments and corrections to ensure accurate Team member records
Communication with team members regarding payroll questions
Tracking communication through ticketing system
Maintain knowledge of employment laws to ensure compliance
Processing additional payments as needed
Audit internal payroll functions
Requirements:
Team player with a positive, calm, helpful, service-oriented attitude
Extreme attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask and work independently in a time-sensitive environment
Strong computer skills, Excel knowledge a plus
Basic understanding of payroll & payroll tax situations
Previous experience with an automated payroll system, Workday preferred
