Summary

As a Program Manager at the GS-0340-15, you will be part of Suitability Executive Agent Programs, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for providing oversight and supervision of staff with responsibility for developing and maintaining vetting-related policies, implementation guidance, and information collections; developing government-wide training offerings on personnel vetting related matters; and external engagement activities.

Duties

Write and formulate personnel vetting policy and regulations.Develop implementation guidance for use by departments and agencies in applying SuitEA issued policies and/or policy revisions.Analyze, interpret, and evaluate data for course and student trends to determine ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of training offerings and internal operations/processes as they relate to the training program.

Requiremennts

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Complete the initial online assessment and USAHire Assessment, if required This position is not eligible for inclusion in a bargaining unit

Qualifications

Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-14 grade level in: preparing or implementing personnel vetting policies or regulations and analyzing training needs to provide administrative direction for training offerings. Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-14 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS15 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
