Position Overview

As a key member of our finance team, you’ll provide crucial financial information to management by preparing journal entries, conducting bank transactions, researching and analyzing accounting data, and preparing detailed financial reports. You will ensure accurate daily cash tracking, general ledger management, and reconciliation with bank accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Reconciliation: Prepare reconciliations for asset, liability, and capital accounts by analyzing and compiling account information.
  • Financial Transactions: Document financial transactions through journal entries and by maintaining accurate records in spreadsheets and accounting software.
  • Financial Recommendations: Analyze accounting options to recommend financial actions.
  • Financial Summarization: Summarize current financial status by preparing balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
  • Transaction Verification: Substantiate financial transactions by auditing and reconciling documents.
  • Accounting Controls: Maintain accounting controls by preparing, recommending, and auditing policies and procedures.
  • Team Guidance: Support and guide finance clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Reconcile financial discrepancies by analyzing account information.
  • Financial Security: Ensure financial security by following internal controls and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Accounting Procedures: Address accounting procedure questions through research and interpretation of policies and regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial requirements by staying informed about legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Special Reports: Prepare special financial reports by analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on industry knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional networks.
  • Team Contribution: Contribute to team success by accomplishing related results as needed.
