Job description

Job Overview

Join our esteemed research institution, recognized for its dedication to student-centered learning and impactful contributions to the community. As a Research Compliance Analyst, you will be pivotal in overseeing and enhancing our Conflict of Interest (COI) program, facilitating an ethical framework within our organization while promoting compliance across various research activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer annual and ad hoc COI reporting and disclosures.
  • Evaluate and address COI cases and conflicts of commitment.
  • Assist the Conflict of Interest Review Board (COIRB) by taking meeting minutes and executing conflict management strategies.
  • Keep abreast of COI regulations and aid in the creation of new policies and training materials.
  • Provide guidance to faculty and researchers regarding outside activities and their implications on COI policies.
  • Present findings to a variety of university stakeholders and manage COI cases with the faculty committee.
  • Collaborate with other departments to oversee non-research related conflicts.
  • Support the Research Integrity program and participate in Research Misconduct proceedings.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Conflict of Interest regulations and policies.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities, with exceptional multitasking and prioritization skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals while handling confidential information discreetly.
  • Familiarity with specialized software (e.g., InfoEd, Huron) is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in an academic environment is essential.
