Remote Tax Manager - Real Estate | WFH

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Tax Manager to join our esteemed, rapidly expanding firm. This fully remote position allows you to balance your professional aspirations with personal commitments while working with a reputable CPA firm recognized for its exceptional service to high-net-worth clients across diverse industries including technology, construction, and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the preparation of tax returns, extensions, and strategic tax planning calculations, particularly for real estate clients.
• Conduct thorough financial statement reviews, accounting entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and evaluate tax planning projections for both individuals and corporate entities.
• Ensure timely delivery of client services, adhering to all deadlines.
• Prepare or review complex U.S. and state individual income, gift, and estate tax returns.
• Conduct tax research and develop comprehensive memoranda to document findings and conclusions.
• Address inquiries and audits from the IRS and state agencies.
• Collaborate with clients, management, and IRS representatives on various tax matters.
• Provide leadership and share expertise regarding software, processes, and workflows.
  
  

Required Skills

• 4-10+ years of relevant experience in real estate tax compliance and advisory services.
• Proficiency in individual tax compliance and tax planning.
• Strong understanding of subchapter K, with experience advising Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
• Familiarity with partnership tax and gift, estate, and trust returns is advantageous.
• Capable of conducting tax research, ideally with RIA experience.
• Possess a collaborative spirit, with a passion for mentoring and leading team members.
• A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
