Job Overview

We are in search of a highly skilled and motivated Portfolio Consulting Manager to join our esteemed organization, dedicated to fostering sustainable advancements through innovative technology solutions. As a leader in this remote role, you will oversee a proficient team, providing state-of-the-art technical and economic consulting services specifically tailored for energy asset developers, utilities, and system operators. The position is based in Upstate New York, with relocation assistance available.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of consultants at various stages of their careers, cultivating an environment that encourages continuous learning and celebrates achievements and insights gained from challenges.
• Drive business development initiatives by promoting our consulting services, forging robust relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Oversee client engagements, create proposals, and manage projects to ensure the delivery of exceptional consulting services, while collaborating with other business units to enhance client interactions.
• Utilize superior presentation and writing skills to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively in English.
  
  

Required Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with practical experience in power systems analysis.
• Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge of transmission or distribution principles, coupled with advanced expertise in tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD/EMTDC, PowerGEM TARA, or Aspen OneLiner.
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years in power systems consulting for utilities, ISOs, transmission organizations, or renewable developers.
• Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% both domestically and internationally.
  
  

Qualifications

• An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM, or SPP is advantageous.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and effective team management skills are essential.
