Job description

Description

You will serve as the principal advisor and focal point for issues related to sexual assault, sexual harassment, suicide prevention, bullying, and hazing, with a strong emphasis on prevention and response efforts.

Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with senior leaders, government departments, academia, and industry, leading initiatives that encompass active duty and reserve personnel, civilians, contractors, and first responders.

Responsibilities

  • Spearheading transformational efforts to modernize and enhance programs through data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Managing Program Objective Memoranda (POM) and budget activities for efficient resource allocation and planning.
  • Providing legislative support, including preparing testimony for Congressional committees and reviewing pending legislation.
  • Representing the organization in executive and legislative branch hearings as directed.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE-278e) within 30 days of appointment.
  • Must sign the Reassignment Rights and Obligations Agreement as a condition of appointment into the Senior Executive Service (SES).
  • Retired military members must comply with provisions regarding civilian appointments within 180 days of retirement.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • May be required to complete a 1-year SES probationary period.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • This position may require travel, including to remote or isolated sites, and the ability to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.
  • Supervisors have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics and must review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead senior teams toward collaborative and results-oriented outcomes.
  • Experience working with Congress, federal agencies, and other organizations on related matters.
