Your missions

ROLE OBJECTIVE

You will analyse budgets, review plans, prepare quantity estimates, negotiate with contractors and vendors, and build relationships with clients and site managers. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing project costs and ensuring the successful completion of our construction projects.

To excel in this role, you should have a methodical approach to work and excellent interpersonal skills. A successful Quantity Surveyor not only possesses strong analytical skills to analyze costs but also the ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with various stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze construction plans and prepare quantity requirements
  • Review maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts, to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Prepare reports, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents as required
  • Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies
  • Maintain records of materials and order additional supplies if necessary
  • Document any changes in design and update budgets accordingly
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Travel to various sites as required
  • Prepares and compiles calculations and documents necessary for development finance. Monitors site progress and directly liaise with the lender or monitoring surveyor for the reports and requirements.
  • Prepares and monitors cash flow actual cost and forecast for the construction and for the development finance

Requirements

  • BS degree in Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience working under Construction Management or Project Management
  • Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing design
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Estimating Software and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations is a plus
