General Summary 

Responsible for interpreting product and service requirements for Rochester’s customers and suppliers for both submitted orders and capability inquiries. This role ensures customer requirements are understood and manufacturing jobs are released in the shortest time possible.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests of limited scope as the main point of contact.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for Customer Conversion Requirements and customer responses.
  • Collect data to benchmark the CCR and customer response systems; assist in evaluating trends to ensure best in class performance.   
  • With some oversight, collaborate with the sales team to ensure all required customer needs, information, and documentation is available to process inquiries or jobs. 
  • Ensure integrity of appropriate systems and data to reduce cycle time on repeat product jobs. 
  • Provide support for flow and part configuration in MES (CAMSTAR) and Kinetic 
  • Following standard practices, implement CAMSTAR modeling, flow mapping, and deployments.
  • Correctly interpret customer requirements and convert them into test and assembly specifications.
  • Work with stakeholders to review and participate in recommendations of  improvements to internal customer service processes.  
  • Review and recommend improvement to methodologies for providing custom solutions to meet customer needs.  
  • Collaborate with Rochester’s established customers and suppliers to implement a wide variety of solutions that support the needs of the supplier’s customers (Manufacturing Hot Line). 
  • Collaborate with Package, Process, Assembly, Test, Reliability, and Quality Assurance Engineering to review qualification requirements.
  • Provide feedback on and implement strategic initiatives
  • Ensure On Time Delivery for Manufacturing Orders  
  • Update internal metrics and reports
  • Participate in cross functional teams on continuous improvement projects 
  • Track cycle time of CCR and customer response operations, develop Pareto analyses, and contribute to improvements to improve customer response & product release time. 

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or a related scientific discipline and field required
  • A minimum of 0 years of experience in semiconductors; or other equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Prior experience in a high mix / low volume environment with varying degrees of customer need helpful. 
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of, but not limited to, ISO 9001, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38535, IATF, medical device, and JEDEC, standards for commercial integrated circuits. 
  • Prior knowledge in semiconductor wafer fabrication technologies, semiconductor assembly, test and burn-in, or semiconductor failure analysis processes helpful.
  • Knowledge of new product introduction requirements helpful.
  • Demonstrable skill in project and time management, problem solving, and data analysis required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills required. 
  • Demonstrable ability to organize complex data and make best possible decisions required. 
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English required; additional linguistic proficiency helpful. 
  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment with competing priorities. 
  • Demonstrable proficiency with basic personal computers and software, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, etc.
