Contracts Attorney

CONTRACTS ATTORNEY

INCATech is searching for a Contracts Attorney to support contract administration for large and complex Federal Aviation Administration contracts. The Contracts Attorney will:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform assignments that involve providing authoritative legal expertise.
• Develop critical agency positions and provide guidance on critical legal issues to senior agency officials.
• Conduct thorough legal research by appropriately identifying and analyzing relevant legal and factual issues and arguments.
• Assess legal strengths and weaknesses of available arguments to provide accurate, complete, and practical legal advice and conclusions. Identifies and learns emerging issues, principles, and practices relevant to the legal practice area.
• Produce communications that are well-organized, clear, and persuasive. Maintain the appropriate balance between providing accurate, complete, and practical legal advice.
• Provide advice, recommendations, and document support in all areas of the acquisition post-award phase.
  
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications

Related Experience:

• MUST have Juris Doctorate (JD).
• 10 years of experience in Contracts or Financial law or similar.
• Considered a technical authority in the areas of agency contracts and agreements, including matters related to procurement, intellectual property, and fiscal law.
• Experience providing legal advice to senior officials on critical legal and factual matters, contracts or other agreement formation, award, interpretation, modification, termination or administration.
• Experience advising on a full range of legal matters relating to contract dispute, or other litigation, mediation, or alternative dispute resolution cases.
• Experience with all contracts type including cost reimbursable, cost plus, time and materials, fixed price etc.
• Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Superior customer service, critical thinking, and communications skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Individual must be a self-starter, high energy, and able to lead a complex long-term initiative.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
