We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Market/Client Risk Management Manager to join our Corporate Trust department. This role is a remote role, and the candidate can be regionally located out of Chicago, IL - Pittsburgh, PA - OR - Houston, TX.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Analyzes and reviews moderately complex services pertaining to clients with consideration for BNY risk and reviews, while analyzing and executing transactions with clients.
  • Works with clients and BNY teams to resolve issues and develop new business in line with business objectives.
  • Facilitates onboarding client responsibilities and reviews contracts and transaction documents.
  • Ensures moderately complex deals are set up correctly and mitigates risk through thorough document review whilst meeting client objectives.
  • Where applicable, reviews work of more junior colleagues and provides guidance on complex tasks.
  • Works with issuers and their lawyers and advisors when reviewing the terms of the transactions to ensure they are set up according to BNY standards and manage areas of potential risk whilst meeting client objectives.
  • Coordinates tasks with internal and external parties.
  • Mitigates risk to BNY by reviewing moderately complex client contracts or transactions or processing tasks and ensuring that they comply with corporate policies and business procedures and protect as well as compensate BNY for services provided.
  • Works with clients, the business and legal teams to resolve issues in line with client and business objectives.
  • Prepares and/or reviews required documents and/or market / shareholder notices.
  • Communicates with lawyers, advisors and clients to resolve any structural or contractual issues.
  • Ensures BNY is compliant with applicable regulations and policies and procedures.
  • Works with the team to review, analyze and/or structure transactions in way that are compliant with applicable regulations and contracts.
  • No direct reports but may provide guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Responsible for transaction management and closing deals for assigned clients and/or transactions, but will contribute to the achievement of any team or area objectives.
  • Focus is moderately related to complex client services.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent
  • 7-10 years of work experience in Corporate Trust
  • 1-3 years of management experience is preferred
