The Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager's role is to provide assistance to Account Executives and Producers in handling and processing renewal of commercial lines business. Provide in-house customer service to clients as assigned and requested.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate expirations with Producer and /or account executive to obtain renewal information.
  • Maintain expiration control log.
  • Assist in marketing renewal business, determine premiums, prepare presentation packets and maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrier.
  • On larger accounts, check renewal policies for accuracy in rating, typing, coverage, signatures and input these transactions to generating billing invoices. Ensure that these items are delivered and/or mailed to client.
  • Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding insurance, claims or administrative problems and comply with the request and/or refer to the Producer only when necessary, book renewal policies, handle change requests, and cross sell all accounts.
  • Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports and follow up on overdue and suspense items.
  • Prepare renewal packets and complete applications as appropriate in preparation for renewal marketing.
  • Bill new and renewal agency bill policies in accordance with agency procedures.
  • Maintain electronic and/or paper files in an orderly up-to-date manner.
  • Perform special projects at management’s request.
  • Respond to all emails/phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Be familiar with and follow Agency E&O guidelines.
  • Additional tasks as requested by agency management to help make Wilson, Washburn & Forster a great workplace and help the agency grow
  • Maintain a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be self-starter, imaginative and creative with good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must work well in a team environment as well as individually
  • Should have thorough understanding of commercial lines underwriting and coverages.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in similar position desirable.
  • Florida 220 License
  • Experience with Applied EPIC preferred.
