Responsibilities

The Senior Cloud Project Manager will have project ownership and accountability for assigned Cloud projects/programs. The Senior Cloud Project Manager oversees and manages the technical and program aspects of multiple ongoing projects and provides leadership, oversight and governance for the technical solutions, security compliance, project management, deliverables, executive client level communication and operational readiness.

What you will do:

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Lead client and internal detailed technical cloud solution discussions to elicit and document technical requirements and lead the development of the technical architectural, operational and decision artifacts, proposals, presentations, etc. to solidify an implementation plan.
  • Present at an executive level technical cloud solution, business benefits and outcomes.
  • Provide technical interaction with application development teams on the cloud integration projects to include technical solutions, new requirements, testing, issues, and risks.
  • Provide expert thought leadership and enhancement of the infrastructure and cloud management methodologies and lead the implementation of industry best practices and security compliance solutions.

Project leadership Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the ownership and accountability of assigned projects.
  • Responsible for the overall project planning, tasking, scheduling, communications, problem resolution, and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects of significant complexity, size, risk, and complex interdependencies.
  • Conduct project and issue management (including staffing, financials, quality, status reporting, risk/issue reporting) for assigned scope of work and make decisions that impact the team through regular consultation with senior management.
  • Responsible for ensuring all project schedules are on track, deliverables are met, and client escalations are addressed.
  • Monitor progress and reports to customer and manager. Ensures quality of team's work and on-time completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to the customer leads. Interacts with client to understand project requirements and timelines, to ensure resources availability, and existing assets to leverage.
  • Interface with executive level customers and internal/external stakeholders to ensure client-satisfaction regarding project goals and objectives.
  • Provide executive level status regarding the tracking and presentation of project deliverables.
  • Lead joint stakeholder meetings and maintains strong, positive interoffice and client relations. Provide representation in cross-organizational workgroups, communities of practice, project teams, etc.
  • Ensure escalations do not occur by taking a proactive role in the constant vigilance and rigor to emphasize compliance throughout all levels of the assigned projects (systems, personnel, and data).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum of 8 years experience; Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies and knowledge of IT infrastructure technology process and tools.
  • Experience leading Enterprise projects within the Cloud and Operations Support Systems.
  • Technical and project management experience, including diverse experience in the development, integration, operations and/or maintenance of complex systems and technologies.
  • Experience documenting and explaining Cloud infrastructure solution architectures to senior leaders.
  • Solid understanding of telecom networks, Cloud & DevOps, cutting-edge cloud Architecture.
  • Leadership skills, knowledge and experience in delivering of Cloud based solutions to include previously leading project teams delivering cloud core services; Infrastructure automation, and Setting up infrastructure monitoring and alerting in public cloud using infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • System and Application Development methodology experience.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and service availability throughout the enterprise.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement with demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments apply problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing events and competing priorities internally and with the client.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills, capable of translating and presenting complex technical and project management concepts to management and customers, through presentations and other written formats.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Federal Agency experience a plus
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
