Your Role and Responsibilities

As a member of our Quantum Safe team, you will lead a talented group of professionals delivering Quantum Safe Services in key government organizations, to include the Department of Defense (DOD) and the National Security community (NSC). You will be responsible for implementing transformation projects with IBM’s broad portfolio of Quantum Safe offerings and technologies aimed at driving cryptographic transformations of our clients IT environment. IBM’s Quantum Safe Project Executive understands client's business and mission challenges and helps them bridge the gap to cryptographic agility. Required Technical and Professional Expertise


  • 5+ years of industry and/or Cyber Security consulting experience in the DOD and NSC
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in the field of cryptography; on conceptual or hands-on level, including areas such as key management, public key infrastructure, cloud key management & encryption
  • Knowledge of quantum-safe cryptography (aka “post-quantum cryptography”), ideally with first experience in a practical context or implementation
  • Strong technical skills in providing transformation services in the DOD and NSC
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Motivated learner and team player with strong leadership capabilities, able to work in virtual teams
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance


Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise


  • Knowledge in the field of Quantum Computing and Quantum Safe/Post Quantum Cryptography is a plus
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM) and Security certifications


(CISSP, CSSK, CCSP) are considered a plus


  • Knowledge of and experience working in selected industries, government, & public sector,. is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience working in the DOD and NSC,. Is a plus

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
