Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cloud Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues, optimizing performance, cost optimization, and ensuring the security of our cloud environments.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Identifies and resolves problems related to public cloud infrastructure in a timely manner and analyzes information skillfully.

  • Develop Infrastructure as Code to build and maintain public cloud environments.

  • Update and maintain git repositories

  • Focuses on solving technical problems in a fast-paced environment

  • Contributes to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices through participation in team meetings and other direct contributions.

  • Provides technical guidance and end user training.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience in leu of education

  • 2+ years of experience and knowledge of public cloud (Azure and AWS)

  • Ability to automate with Infrastructure as Code using a variety of technology types (ARM, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell)

  • Cross-functional IT expertise (storage, network and database infrastructure)

  • Strong experience with both Windows and Linux servers

  • Experience with knowledge of public cloud compute and storage technologies used with Azure (Disk, Blob, Files) and AWS (EBS, EFS, S3)

  • Experience with knowledge of public cloud networking architecture used with Azure (vNet, load balancers, Virtual WAN, VPN, Express Route) and AWS (VPC, load balancers, transit gateway, VPN, Direct Connect)

  • Experience with knowledge of public cloud identity and access management methods

  • Excellent documentation, intercommunication, and interpersonal skills

  • Initiates professionalism, excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Works independently as well as in a cooperative team environment.

  • Demonstrates fast and independent learning capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.)

  • Artifact binary repository management

  • Scripting experience (Bash, Ansible, Python, Groovy, Powershell, etc.)

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Knowledge of configuration file types (YAML, JSON)

  • Familiar with DevOps practices

  • Have a strong sense of networking in public cloud

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
