AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infra Dev Specialist with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS and Terraform along with a strong background in Bioinformatics. This role involves designing implementing and maintaining infrastructure solutions that support our bioinformatics projects ensuring high performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS to support bioinformatics applications.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure consistency and repeatability.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics teams to understand their requirements and provide tailored infrastructure solutions.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Automate deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on AWS and Terraform best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies and bioinformatics to continuously improve infrastructure solutions.
• Document infrastructure designs processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure solutions with other systems and applications.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments of infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure components.
  
  

Qualifications

• Possess a strong understanding of AWS services and their applications in bioinformatics.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code development.
• Have experience in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Show expertise in automating deployment processes and reducing manual intervention.
