Your missions

This position is offered through SmartSimple Software UK Ltd., which is now part of the same organization as Foundant Technologies following our recent merger. While your work will focus on Foundant’s solutions and goals, you will be fully integrated into our unified team. Employment terms, conditions, and benefits will be governed by SmartSimple Software in compliance with UK labour laws. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom.

 

Where You’ll Work

  • SmartSimple & Foundant are remote-first workplaces. We recognize the distinct advantages of workplace flexibility.
  • SmartSimple’s headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada with our EMEA office based out of Dublin, Ireland. Foundants headquarters is located in Bozeman, Montana. Employees will have the option of working from the office (when it is safe to do so) if they wish or they may work remotely from home.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • You’ll sell our products and services to prospects, driving growth and expanding our client base.
  • You’ll lead outbound follow-ups with prospects, collaborating with your team to maximize engagement.
  • You’ll develop and execute team strategies within an agile framework to achieve key objectives.
  • You’ll travel to connect with prospects, partners, and industry influencers, fostering valuable relationships.
  • You’ll maintain detailed records of accounts, forecasts, transactions, and activities in systems like Salesforce.com.
  • You’ll craft and deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations to meet prospect needs.
  • You’ll assist prospects in building compelling business cases to present to their boards and decision-makers.
  • You’ll collaborate with sales management and marketing to ensure consistent product and service messaging aligned with business goals.
  • You’ll work with Sales Development Representatives to seamlessly transition high-quality leads.
  • You’ll engage with existing clients to gather feedback and identify future business opportunities.
  • You’ll partner with the implementation team to clarify and define client requirements for smooth project execution.
  • You’ll offer insights to product management to support ongoing product improvements and innovation.
  • You’ll provide feedback to marketing on sales tools, prospect insights, and campaign outcomes.
  • You’ll participate in seminars, trade shows, and webinars to elevate brand visibility and engagement.
  • You’ll stay informed about the foundations and philanthropy sector, positioning yourself as a knowledgeable resource.


What You’ll Need:

  • 2+ years’ experience in inside sales within a B2B software/SaaS environment.
  • Experience in Grants Management, Non-Profit, or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is highly desirable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for technology, with the ability to communicate confidently about data and software.
  • Exceptional listening and probing skills, enabling you to assess needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Focus on acquiring new business while maintaining and growing existing client relationships.
  • Proven ability to drive qualified leads to conversion by guiding prospects through the sales process and addressing their challenges.
  • Experience navigating complex procurement steps and security reviews.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring effective follow-up and disciplined activity management.
  • Tenacious and resilient, always seeking new ways to succeed and undeterred by setbacks.
  • Competitive drive combined with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
