Job Description

With the increasing demand for new Commercial and GPU data centres across JAPAC it is critical we hire for this role to manage current construction and fitout projects as well as and preparing for the future Oracle expansion plans across the JAPAC Region with increased data centre presence. This role requires both technical, construction and programmatic knowledge as we face a broad range of requirements posed by our Colocation partners to increase the quantity of data centre space across JAPAC. The TPM will interface with Colo partners, external supply chain and internal teams across multiple time zones to deliver new data centers to meet Oracle ever increasing capacity requirements and to identify and manage construction and technical risks and issues early to keep all projects on track to the deliver facilities on time or with accelerated completion dates.

What You’ll Do:

With the ongoing expansion of our business, we need a strong Senior Technical Program Manager to deliver network and data center capacity builds to support the growth of Oracle Cloud infrastructure. This is a high impact role that will lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery and management of critical initiatives on our strategic roadmap. The role comes with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and will require effective engagement across Engineering and Operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to own the delivery of network and data center capacity across concurrent builds.

Day-to-day you can expect the following:

  • End-to-end leader in charge of the program, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery.
  • Influence, activate, and orchestrate across teams to build alignment and drive results.
  • Provide program and project management expertise to complex initiatives, understanding interdependencies between process, technology, and people needs.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and ensure that project goals are in line with customer and business objectives.
  • Seek opportunities to bring about ongoing improvement and simplification in processes leading to improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and manage priorities and committed actions to drive progress and provide actionable insights.
  • Travel up to 25% in support of data center builds.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Bring:

  • 9+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Experience with varying scenarios of data center construction, infrastructure builds and network augmentations.
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e., network, data center, hardware, mechanical and electrical systems)
  • Program/project management certifications or qualifications with proven ability to deliver complex programs.
  • Proven ability to create effective relationships, listen, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and across global teams.
  • Ability to inspire confidence in senior leaders and motivate team members.
  • Excellent communication skills including high quality written communications and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple way.
