Job Description

  • Define and implement marketing strategies for the BU in alignment with the overall business plan and objectives, in collaboration with sales, service, R&D, commercials, and Operations
  • Responsible for overall RoI on the marketing budgets across online and offline modes of communication.
  • Perform market research to understand consumer trends and preferences and identify potential changes in communication, outreach modes, and products
  • Ensuring that the product, pricing, and packaging are in alignment with the customers and channel stakeholders
  • Identify target customers/segments and other relevant market intelligence through a detailed industry study. Identify the TAM for each of the identified segments
  • Lead the post-product development marketing efforts, by acting as a VoC for the internal organization
  • Work closely with the R&D team to define product lifecycle / potential product changes to fit the customer requirements / minor customizations required to cater to large target customers
  • Customize the messaging and value proposition for each of the identified segments, to drive the product usefulness more effectively
  • Create a communication plan to educate the external stakeholders on our product features and their benefits
  • Develop marketing programs (e.g. sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, TVC, etc.) that articulate the product benefits
  • Identify relevant external agencies to manage the product marketing activities like media planning, creative development, digital marketing, etc.
  • Create KPIs for each of the agencies and regularly monitor the same w.r.t. target achievement
  • Conduct detailed market analysis to obtain an understanding of the competitive landscape and help establish product differentiators
  • Create sales collateral (offline and online) and tools that align with the buying process and help move prospects & customers through the sales cycle (funnel)
  • Assist the sales team with client interactions whenever required (e.g.: when a deep dive into the product differentiators vis-à-vis competitors is required). Also, develop relevant training tools for the sales team
  • Attend relevant industry conferences, trade shows, seminars, etc. and present the value proposition to promote the products
  • Identify influencers (online and offline) which can act as a product advocate across different customer segments
  • Spearhead lead generation activities - both offline and online


The Successful Applicant

  • At least 15+ years of experience in product marketing (preferably with any industrial product / automotive firm) including a minimum of 3 years as a lead for the B2B marketing (senior position)
  • Proven record of managing successfully growing the business with marketing initiatives
  • Experience in using technology tools for CRM / E-mail marketing, and digital campaigns for lead generation.
  • Should have extensive experience in creating brand awareness and leading to conversion for b2b segments like factories, warehouses, restaurants, etc
  • Engineering and MBA / PGDM in marketing management
