Job description

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:

  • Integration with multiple PSPs, eWallets, card processors, acquirers and software vendors;

As the Design Lead you will be working directly with the CEO and CPO, Project managers and Business analysts, UI/UX and motion designers and business stakeholders.

You will be monitoring all projects timings, schedules, briefs and following up creative tasks that are set, with creative and QC approvals that adhere to the brand guidelines and the creative strategy. You will also be responsible for ideation and creative development across specific assigned tasks.

The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, have extensive UX & UI experience, and overall experience of working within internal creative processes from creative briefs to execution with design and QA precision.

As a UX and Design Lead, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, all of which revolve around creating exceptional user experiences and guiding the design process.

  • Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative environment. The team will include up to 15 designers (UI/UX designers, Motion designers, Graphic designers).
  • Mentor and manage designers / Conduct weekly 121s / Objective setting / Performance reviews.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end product design process
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics and conversion rate optimisation processes
  • Able to conduct and facilitate meetings (e.g. lead workshops to elicit requirements) within business and technical teams
  • Able to produce high quality supporting artefacts to assist the team in development of design
  • Oversee the creation of intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, while ensuring a seamless user experience across various platforms and devices.
  • Create prototypes, wireframes, and mockups to illustrate design concepts and interactions for user testing and stakeholder review.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design decisions and iterate based on user feedback.
  • Establish and maintain design system's library, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency and scalability across devices and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure that design efforts are aligned with the organisation's goals.
  • Advocate for user-centric design principles within the organisation by presenting design concepts and strategies to stakeholders, and effectively communicating the rationale behind design decisions.
  • Ensure that designs comply with accessibility standards and strive to create inclusive experiences for diverse user groups.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design, implementing improvements accordingly.

You have

  • At least 2 years experience of leading UX teams.
  • Leadership qualities and experience of people management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable experience of successful implementation of design strategies and leading improvements in user engagement.
  • Proficiency in UX best practices and accessibility standards aligning with industry standard design principles and guidelines.
  • Expertise with Figma, Maze, analytic tools
  • Experience working as a member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team and collaborating with other designers, developers and non-technical stakeholders throughout the research and design process.
  • Regularly collaborate with marketing departments.
  • Excellent written verbal and visual communication skills.

Experience

  • Experience working at a number of digital / creative agencies and / or in-house design studios.
  • Degree educated in Graphic design / UI or similar discipline.
  • Breadth of experience across sectors / audiences.
  • Compelling portfolio that demonstrates high quality design
