Position Summary

Our NA Finance team has positions focused on Financial Planning and Analysis, Operations Finance, Logistics Finance, and more. We are hiring multiple Interns to support the various NA (North American) Finance teams. This position will be based out of our Toronto, Canada office. At McCain, we work in a hybrid model, with some days spent in the office and others working remotely.   

 

In this role, the successful individual will partner to support the day-to-day operations of the NA Finance team. These teams play an essential role in McCain's operations and are integral to regional forecasting and planning.

 

What You Will Be Working On

  • Preparing monthly regional performance reporting vs. targets and key performance indicators, including the investigation and explanation of performance variances vs. target
  • Performing ad hoc analysis and presentations as required by regional management and the NA Senior Leadership team
  • Rebuilding the existing strategic long-term models 
  • Developing, analyzing, and adjusting the annual operating budget forecast based on requests from regional management
  • Improving and rebuilding existing financial forecasting files to support more efficient analysis


What You Need to Be Successful  

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or a related field
  • Interesting in obtaining/pursuing a CPA designation 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task with proven organization skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
