Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Freelance Medical Coordinator to manage medical referrals, organize pre-employment medical check-ups and oversee medical case management across Southeast Asia. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, ensuring the well-being of our clients through efficient medical coordination and case follow-up.

The successful candidate will be located in Southeast Asia and have flexibility to manage cases across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate medical referrals for seafarers to relevant healthcare providers.

- Manage and oversee medical cases from start to resolution, ensuring timely care and documentation.

- Schedule and organize pre-employment medical examinations and physicals for seafarers.

- Liaise with healthcare facilities, medical professionals, and shipping companies to ensure seafarers’ health requirements are met.

- Track and report medical cases, ensuring all parties are informed and up-to-date.

- Ensure that all medical documents and records are properly maintained and confidentially stored.

- Communicate effectively with international teams and stakeholders across different time zones.

- Provide timely updates on the status of cases and scheduling processes.

Qualifications:

- Prior experience in healthcare coordination, medical case management, or a similar role or prior experience as a ship medical officer (doctor/nurse)

- Familiarity with the maritime industry is a plus

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations.

- Proficiency in using scheduling software, medical records systems, and communication tools.

- Fluency in spoken and written English is required along with one of the following languages: Tagalog, Mandarin, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay



Requirements:

- Must be located in Southeast Asia.

- Availability to work flexible hours covering multiple time zones as needed.

- Reliable internet connection and access to necessary technology for remote coordination.
