ABOUT THE ROLE

Minor Figures is seeking a Key Account Manager to oversee and drive growth with key accounts across the US. This fully remote role reports directly to the Senior Director Of Sales and is integral in helping us expand our reach and deliver our sustainable, plant-based products to more consumers across the country.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

In this role, you will lead the development and execution of sales strategies for key accounts that increase revenue for MF, collaborating closely with the grocery/retail sales team to achieve annual sales volume, trade spend, and ROI targets. You are responsible for increasing the revenue at existing key accounts, and developing revenue streams in new accounts. You will be responsible for monitoring account performance, managing ordering cadence, and overseeing customer forecasting to ensure alignment with our business goals. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Buyers and Brokers will be key, ensuring effective communication and partnership. You will leverage shopper and syndicated data to create impactful sales presentations and drive key initiatives.

Additionally, you will prepare for category reviews by gathering and analyzing data, creating presentations, and conducting SKU rationalization and shelf placement analysis. Establishing promotional calendars for your accounts, you will work closely with the internal teams on trade marketing to implement revenue-driving programs.

Here's how you'll likely go about that:

  • Lead the development and execution of sales strategies for key accounts that increase revenue for MF.
  • Collaborate with your Sales Manager to achieve annual sales volume, trade spend, and ROI targets with Independent Retail Partners.
  • Monitor account performance, manage ordering cadence, and oversee customer forecasting to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Buyers, ensuring effective communication and partnership.
  • Work closely with the grocery sales team to coordinate demand plans, distribution, and execution with national distributors.
  • Utilize your knowledge of geography, relationships with key contacts, and business insight tools to gain access to potential new customers, present, and earn new business.
  • Ensure the development of the business aligns with targeted sales and profitability metrics, utilizing internal tools and communication platforms.
  • Design, pitch, implement, and monitor all discount/promotion programs within your assigned territory.
  • Utilize the internal system, Modus, for item-level forecasting.
  • Track budgets allocated for activation by account, ensuring maximum visibility and effectiveness.
  • Track results and consumption data, regularly reviewing with the channel director.
  • Pursue new business opportunities and work to increase volume and ranking with existing accounts.
  • Attend trade shows, distributor events, and sales meetings to represent and promote Minor Figures.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams, operations teams, and the café sales team to ensure cohesive brand representation and growth in the market.
  • Prepare for category reviews by gathering and analyzing data, creating persuasive presentations, and conducting SKU rationalization and shelf placement analysis.
  • Establish promotional calendars for your accounts and work closely with the Trade Marketing Team to implement revenue-driving programs.

ABOUT YOU

  • Approach every day like it’s day one. Committed, open minded and ready to enjoy every exhilarating second.

To succeed in this role, you will be both a farmer and hunter, and that farming is important! About us

We’re Minor Figures. Founded on a rooftop in 2014 by three friends with a shared love of coffee, MF has since grown into a global brand with a team of over 100 people across the world, with offices in the UK, USA, and Australia. We create plant-based products for coffee lovers, baristas and a better planet. We love teaming up with people as mad about coffee as we are and love nothing more than heading down to their local cafe to enjoy a chat with the friendly & expert barista.

All our products are 100% plant based and vegan friendly. The company is exploding, achieving record sales figures each quarter.

Minor Figures would be nothing without the independent coffee scene and our products can be found in over 4,000 specialty coffee shops worldwide, where we regularly run Freedays and Minor Figures FM events. We’re also expanding fast, with products lining the shelves in major supermarkets in our three core regions and our team achieving record sales figures quarter-on-quarter.

At Minor Figures, we’re passionate about creating a positive impact and we put sustainability at the forefront of everything we do. We’re a 100% carbon neutral and now a B Corp certified company.

We have big plans for the future of MF. As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, we want to welcome creative, curious, free-spirited, bold thinkers to join us to make that happen.  Everyone’s invited. We collaborate, improvise, synchronise. We are wholly authentic, uplifting and constructive. Because magic happens when everyone’s vibing and having a good time.  We value individuality and we want you to be yourself.  If you share our love for coffee and you want every day you spend at work to feel like your first, we’d love to hear from you.
