The Role
As an Enterprise Account Executive in the Public Safety Technology space, you will drive sales of Versaterm's SaaS technology solutions to state-level entities and agencies across North America. Your primary focus will be managing large transactions, developing and executing strategic account plans, and driving revenue within your assigned territories.
You'll manage a large, complex sales pipeline of immense opportunities with state and city-level entities. In order to excel, you will develop and execute strategic account plans to meet or exceed revenue targets, often working deals that take 12-18+ months to close. Your current skillset includes the ability to conduct in-depth needs assessments and product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of Versaterm's technology solutions. You'll collaborate with internal teams, including product development, customer success, and marketing to negotiate and close deals while ensuring a seamless customer experience. You'll foster relationships with State-Level executives by attending legislative meetings, events, conferences, and tradeshows within your assigned states.
This is a remote position that involves 30-50% travel within your territory (currently slated for Texas) to conferences and client sites so preference will be given to those located near major airports.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Senior Account Executive in the government technology space, with a focus on selling to state-level law enforcement agencies and a deep understanding of the government procurement process is preferred
- A strong track record of managing large transactions and meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel within your assigned state up to 30-50% of the time
