In June 2023, Color and the American Cancer Society (ACS) introduced a cancer screening and prevention program for employers and labor organizations, combining the ACS’s expertise in cancer screening, prevention, and risk reduction with Color’s leadership in population-scale healthcare delivery. Since announcing our partnership with the American Cancer Society, our program has expanded to support diagnosis management, cancer treatment and care, and survivorship. Through our Virtual Cancer Clinic, Color is: helping employees and members screen and diagnose cancer at an earlier, more treatable stage; caring for patients going through their diagnostic journeys with empathy and speed; helping cancer survivors navigate return-to-work challenges and complex clinical needs; and closing critical cancer screening gaps for high-burden cancers.
Color’s physician-led, multidisciplinary team practices evidence-based medicine to help patients through every phase of their cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship journeys. This is a contract, part-time role.
How You'll Contribute:Evaluate patient cancer risk and recommend screening plans according to evidence-based guidelinesProvide education to patients on their cancer screening needs and on cancer prevention Develop and implement a care plan to help patients get screened for cancers based on evidence-based guidelines.Tailor screening plans to patient’s personal and family history and cancer risk, including developing long term screening plans for cancer survivors and patients with genetic mutations that increase their risk of cancerDeliver clinical care primarily over video, phone and messagingManage patient follow-up care over time through synchronous and asynchronous interactionsPrescribe medications, order lab testing and imaging as appropriateFollow best practices and company-specific guidelines for cancer prevention, screening and diagnosis
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:Board-certified MD or DO in Family or Internal MedicineValid state medical license in good standing.Minimum of 5 years of independent clinical practice experience post residency/fellowship training training in an outpatient primary care setting. Experience practicing in cancer high risk clinics or survivorship preferredMinimum of 2-year telemedicine experienceA passion helping people navigate the complexities of the healthcare system to screen and detect cancer early to maximize their health outcome.A friendly, empathetic, compassionate manor.Strong clinical skills, and high bar for experience and quality of careTeam-focused, effective collaborator within the care team.Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a focus on empathy and active listening.High ethical standards of behaviorExcellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments.Comfort with technology, including video chatting, electronic health records, and other telehealth tools.

Base Salary Range: The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: work experience, market data, skills, geographic location, and business need. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
