This inaugural role is critical in establishing the systems and processes necessary for long-term success.

The Director of Grants & Compliance will spearhead the development of our compliance infrastructure, ensuring we not only meet but exceed regulatory and programmatic requirements, with a specific focus on the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). Grants Management & Compliance

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy that aligns with the organization’s grant objectives. This includes refining policies, procedures, and guidelines to compliance with grant requirements.
  • Work with the Controller, Investment team and other related constituents to manage the grant tracking reporting to accurately allocate historical spend to grants accordingly, based on specific use of funds.
  • Perform internal and external audits and reviews of expenditure and programmatic reports and assess the proper use of grant funds.
  • Work with the Controller, Investment team and other related constituents to manage the grant tracking reporting to accurately allocate expenses to grants.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding training to educate colleagues on grant regulations, reporting procedures, and best practices.
  • Address and resolve compliance issues as they arise.

Collaboration and Integration

  • Stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to grant compliance. Interpret and communicate these requirements to internal stakeholders and sub-recipients, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and coordination in grant compliance efforts.
  • Collaborate with auditors, provide necessary documentation and information, and address any findings or recommendations.
