Job description

We are currently looking for a client-focused Senior Project Manager with excellent leadership and communication skills to join our team.

The Project Manager will responsible for the successful development, implementation, schedule, and cost performance for one or more programs for an involved client under a major program within FDA. This is an opportunity to join a challenging and innovative environment within the federal government sector. You will provide team leadership to meet defined project deliverables within schedule and budget and maintain excellent relationship with the customer and stakeholders.

This is a full-time remote position.  Prefer candidates local to Rockville, MD for occasional on site meetings.  

Qualified candidate must be USC/GC/EAD and have or can attain a Public Trust Level 6(c) clearance and have ability to commute to client-site meetings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages one or more program/projects under a BPA.
  • Serves as liaison between clients, internal technical leads and partners in aspects of projects. 
  • Prepares and leads client status reports, executive reports, overall project timelines, and risk mitigation management.
  • Ensures the execution of the Program’s Quality Management and Assurance Program for all products and services.
  • Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. 
  • Maintains aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.
  • Assists in proposal process and coordinates with Pricing Department when required.
  • Responsible for all phases of the project budget.
  • Performs analysis for contract reviews with various software.
  • Prepares staffing Plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations.
  • Responsible for developing position descriptions for Recruiting, as well as interviewing and hiring staff.
  • Assigns staff and provides technical direction as necessary to complete task.
  • Monitors contract, subcontract, and funding

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • PMP Certification
  • Prior experience managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity in a federal government environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain lasting customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience with project software development from inception to deployment.
  • Demonstrated technical management and development leadership experience.
  • Proven skill in managing projects for various project management methodologies.
  • Experience in cost and risk management.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 12+ years of professional experience; or 10 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
