ASI is actively seeking an Acquisition Instructor to deliver Digital IT Acquisition Professional (DITAP) and other Digital Services training programs.

JOB DESCCRIPTION: The DITAP Program Instructor is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of training programs related to digital information technology (IT) acquisition. This role focuses on educating and training acquisition professionals and stakeholders on the processes, practices, and strategies specific to digital IT systems and technology acquisition. The instructor will work closely with program managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective transfer of knowledge and skills required for successful digital IT acquisitions. Primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and develop curriculums and comprehensive course content for DITAP and other trainings, including instructional materials, presentations, case studies, and exercises.
  • Instructional Delivery: Facilitate and deliver training sessions to participants using a variety of instructional techniques, such as lectures, group discussions, hands-on activities, and multimedia presentations. Adapt instructional methods based on participant needs and learning styles.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Stay current on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in digital IT acquisition. Maintain a deep understanding of relevant regulations, policies, and frameworks. Develop content that demonstrates thought-leadership and demonstrates thorough understanding on emerging areas of interest and relevance to the topic areas.
  • Program Management: Collaborate with other instructors, program managers, coordinator, and stakeholders to define training objectives, evaluate participant progress, and ensure program effectiveness. Support in the coordination of logistics, scheduling, and resources required for training delivery.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop assessment tools and evaluate participant performance to measure the effectiveness of the training program. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement to participants and program stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update training materials and instructional strategies to reflect changes in digital IT acquisition practices and emerging technologies. Seek feedback from participants and stakeholders to enhance the program's value and impact.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training activities, grading, participant attendance, and evaluations. Generate reports summarizing program outcomes, participant feedback, and areas for improvement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, information technology, computer science, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in digital IT acquisition, including knowledge of acquisition lifecycle, procurement processes, and contract management.
  • Strong instructional design and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and educate diverse groups of participants.
  • Familiarity with instructional technologies and e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in program management and evaluation is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in digital IT acquisition or training (e.g., Certified Federal Contract Manager, Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) are desirable.
  • Directly engage with and develop senior acquisition professionals and program personnel.
  • Heavily involved with the growing field of digital services, to include AI, Cloud, etc.
  • Engage with leaders across government agencies.
  • Enhanced attention and significance of training efforts in and around acquisition of digital services
  • This is not a standard training shop, rather we deliver a specialized training product conducted by practitioners and otherwise professionals, successful careers in this area.
