Position Overview:

We are looking for a full-time Portuguese copywriter, to join our SEO Team for the Brazilian market. This position is 100% remote and will be supporting the creation of transactional copy for landing pages & informational content for our blog. 


As the SEO Copywriter for Brazil, you´ll be working hand in hand with other copywriters & SEO analysts from the Team, but also interact and engage with the marketing teams of our two main brands in the country, mainly providing blog posts for their distribution in social media.


We are looking for an inquisitive individual who loves understanding how people search on the internet and is able to create content that fulfills those needs in an engaging and informative way. Our ideal candidate should be able to perform advanced keyword research, understand search intent, translate these findings into a meaningful brief, create engaging copy, optimize it for SEO with provided tools, publish it on our CMS (WordPress) & monitor content performance over time (you must have practical knowledge with Google Analytics & Search Console).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform keyword research using aHrefs, Google Keyword Planner & Google Search, and analyze competitor´s content according to topics suggested by SEO Team but also based on your topic discovery.
  • Outline, draft, edit & optimize content pieces for use on a variety of Open English channels such as Landing Pages, Blog Articles, Social Posts and occasionally Emails.
  • Publish written blog articles directly in WordPress CMS under minimal supervision. For Landing Pages submit copy for review & approval to SEO Lead & Brand Managers.
  • Produce content that maintains the unique voice, talking points, and high quality associated with Open English.
  • Plan and Implement a content calendar to manage content production and plan accordingly based on brand marketing campaigns.
  • Plan new content combining creative and data-driven insights.
  • Produce ready for production work with minimal changes required.
  • Develop an understanding of the industry and the role his/her expertise plays in the industry.
  • Keep abreast of current events, social/digital media trends and any target market industry trends that impact business.
  • This is a remote position (Home Office), with some on-site days in São Paulo in case of commercials recordings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience​​.
  • 3+ years of experience creating and implementing innovative and highly intuitive copy within a corporation or interactive agency.
  • Bilingual in English and Portuguese or Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Possesses a deep passion and understanding of SEO.
  • Plus Points if you know how to use excel & vlookup

  • Must be results and detail-oriented and be able to juggle multiple priorities in order to meet deadlines.
  • Have a portfolio that demonstrates strong abilities, standout creative thinking, and exceptional writing skills.
