As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will lead the development of user-friendly, scalable, and responsive frontend interfaces for our VAS Cloud platform. You will collaborate closely with backend developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver a seamless user experience. 

Your Tasks:

  • Strategic Technical Leadership: Drive architectural decisions, set technical direction, and establish frontend best practices across teams. 

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as a bridge between multiple engineering teams, product, and design. Influence and coordinate large-scale projects. 

  • Mentorship and Coaching: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, especially around frontend technologies and design systems. 

  • Problem Solving at Scale: Lead the resolution of complex technical issues that affect multiple teams or large areas of the frontend. 

  • Code Reviews & Quality: Ensure high code quality and enforce standards by leading code reviews, driving consistency in frameworks, and improving developer experience. 

  • Initiating and Leading Projects: Proactively initiate, plan, and lead large-scale frontend initiatives, including technical debt reduction and performance improvements. 

  • Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with leadership, stakeholders, and other departments to align technical solutions with business needs. 

Your profile
  • Depth of Expertise:  

    • ReactJS Mastery: Extensive professional experience building software using ReactJS, with proven expertise in the React ecosystem. 

    • React frameworks: Awareness and, preferably, proficiency in popular ReactJS full-stack frameworks such as NextJS or Remix, with experience using modern paradigms like React Server components. 

    • TypeScript Expertise: Experience using TypeScript beyond the basics, with a mindset toward "TypeScript as a first-class citizen" in frontend and backend code. Experience with TypeScript on the server-side (e.g., building BFFs) is a plus. 

    • Mindful of the vast ReactJS ecosystem: A good example is the wide variety of component styling options in ReactJS. It's essential to understand how they compare, their strengths and weaknesses, which ones have long-term potential, and which may become less relevant in the mid-term. 

  • Influence & Vision: Able to influence technical direction and set the vision for the frontend architecture while keeping long-term scalability in mind.  

  • Hands-on Leader: Comfortable with both high-level architectural work and detailed code contributions. 

  • Track Record of Impact: Proven success in leading complex projects, improving frontend systems, and mentoring engineers. 

  • Holistic Thinker: Ability to think beyond immediate technical solutions and align them with broader business goals and long-term vision. 

  • Team Skills: Experience and ability to work in cross-functional teams (i.e. including the non-techies!). 

  • Remote work: We work mostly remote. But as a team we usually meet for one week once a quarter. Hence you should be able and willing to travel.
