#About the gig

We are looking for an expert in Full-Stack Web Development (MERN stack, Java, and SQL) and AI/ML to collaborate closely with our Education team on a comprehensive 1-year AI Software Engineering Program . As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering content that covers the latest strategies, tools, and techniques in frontend and backend development, AI integration, and modern DevOps practices.

You will guide the creation of a curriculum that covers a broad spectrum of technologies, including JavaScript frameworks (React, Node.js, Express), Java & SQL for backend development, and machine learning tools like TensorFlow and PyTorch. The program also incorporates key DevOps principles and project management tools to ensure students understand the software development lifecycle holistically.

Your role will be to ensure that the course is both academically rigorous and practically relevant, equipping students with hands-on experience in building AI-powered web applications, integrating AI models into production environments, and mastering essential tools for software engineering. By the end of the program, students will be prepared for real-world challenges in both software engineering and AI.

#Responsibilities

As a Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for delivering the following (non-exhaustive):

  • Participate in discussions with external stakeholders involved in the bootcamp to understand their needs and define the scope.
  • Create a detailed syllabus for the bootcamp, including learning outcomes, modules to be taught, and assessment methods.
  • Develop course materials for self-paced prework, as well as teacher-led and self-paced bootcamp content, including lessons, exercises, labs, and projects.
  • Design and create hands-on projects aligned with learning goals, such as building web applications, AI-powered tools, and full-stack solutions.
  • Create tailored project briefs and evaluation rubrics that reflect the objectives of the bootcamp and industry best practices.

If you're also interested in teaching the course, your responsibilities would include:

  • Prepare balanced lesson plans that meet the needs of the class, adjusting to ensure student success and addressing learning challenges.
  • Alternate between teaching in a classroom environment and facilitating pair or group work, providing clear guidance and support.
  • Oversee the entire academic experience of the bootcamp, ensuring students are engaged, challenged, and supported.
  • Manage Teaching Assistants to support student success and facilitate a collaborative, dynamic learning environment.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that caters to diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
  • Encourage students to think strategically as they develop real-world projects and apply critical skills in web development and AI integration.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure students achieve their professional goals.
  • Administer assessments and provide students with timely, constructive feedback on their progress.
