Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead QA to oversee and manage our quality assurance efforts and strengthen the RichBrains team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, in-depth understanding of quality assurance processes, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities: 
  • Lead and mentor a team of 7 QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other departments to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle;
  • Define and implement QA strategies, methodologies, and processes;
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage by understanding the functionality, requirements, and user experience;
  • Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests, analyzing and reporting defects and quality metrics;
  • Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of the QA processes;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies, integrating them into the QA process where appropriate;
  • Ensure that QA standards are consistently met and followed;
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, quality metrics, and project risks to stakeholders;
  • Assess risks and identify critical areas of the application that require thorough testing.


Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software quality assurance;
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role;
  •  Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • English proficiency at Upper-intermediate level to be able to defend technical solutions;
  • Proficiency in QA methodologies, tools, and processes;
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG);
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies;
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Testmo);
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
