Your missions

Overview:

The Qualifications and Onboarding Supervisor will lead the onboarding team ensuring DOT compliance and compliance with Covenant hiring guidelines for prospective new hires as professional drivers. This position will ensure data integrity within all Qualification and Onboarding reporting systems.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for running Activation and DQ Reports and Reporting them out Daily
• Monitor all Holdovers to ensure they are all activated or Dq’ed in a timely manner, report out on Fridays progress
• Review Status Changes of Drivers- and ensure drivers who are in need of additional training are added to the PDP list
• Responsible for ensuring Compliance with DOT Requirements in accordance to FMCSR’s as well as Internal Hiring Guidelines
• Complete Weekly Metrics Sheet
• Send chargebacks as needed
• Pull orientation list and verify MVR Med Dates; shared with Orientation to double check card against spreadsheet
• Work well with Recruiting, On-Boarding and Orientation Leadership to ensure only qualified drivers are hired in a timely manner.
• Supervise workflow and direct reports of 6 individuals within the safety department.
• Update spreadsheets daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Update KPI’s.
• Oversee daily operations with personnel issues and training.
• Must adhere to all FMCSR requirements as well as Company Policies set forth.
• Meet weekly, monthly, quarterly performance goals.
• Attend meetings as required
• Implement new workflow processes as required
• Audit all applicable areas to ensure employee adherence to Company Policies.
• Communicate effectively with other Departments as needed.
• If working remotely, an employee is required to stay in communication and attend all meetings M-F 8-5.

Qualifications:

Knowledge Skills, and Abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure with deadlines, ability to handle multiple
task and projects at one time.
• Detail oriented and accurate data entry
• Ability to adapt to changes
• Ability to communicate cross-functionally and possible cross-training
• Interview skills a plus
• Ability to learn other functions and backup others.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent related work experience required
• Transportation industry experience preferred
• Teaching and training experience a plus
• 2+ year Supervisory or leadership experience

Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $49,657.32-$77,923.79
Pay Grade: 8
