Food Service Regional Sales Manager – Midwest Territory

Bridor, a leader in European baked goods with over three decades of expertise in North America, is seeking an experienced Food Service Regional Sales Manager to drive growth across the Midwest territory. This role covers Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. You will have the opportunity to work with major food distributors and wholesalers while representing Bridor at industry events.

This is a field sales position, requiring extensive travel within the Midwest region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Sales Growth: Achieve Bridor’s goals in profitability, volume, and new product launches
  • Distributor Relationships: Cultivate and grow relationships with key distributors, dedicating 40% of your time to a primary distributor and 60% to others
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities while managing and growing existing accounts in the Midwest
  • Broker & Trade Spend Management: Oversee brokers, manage trade spend, and execute competitive pricing strategies
  • Market Strategy: Develop annual business plans and provide market insights to drive profitable sales
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct presentations, sales training, and product sampling to enhance Bridor’s market presence
  • Industry Events: Represent Bridor at food shows and events, with at least five weekends per year dedicated to these activities
Working Conditions:
  • Field Sales Role: This is a remote position based within driving distance of the Midwest territory (Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana)
  • Travel Requirement: 60% travel, including 3-4 days per week on the road, with at least five weekends annually for trade shows
  • No Direct Reports: This role does not involve managing a team
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5-10 years of regional sales experience, particularly in food service accounts within the Midwest territory
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in premium-quality baking products or related food service sectors is a plus
  • Sales Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management abilities
  • Baking Experience: Candidates with baking experience or knowledge of the baked goods industry are highly valued
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year, plus an annual performance bonus
