Summary:

Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a Senior Auditor to provide support for the Small Business Administration's STEP Program. The Senior Auditor ensures that the grantee complies with grant agreements, federal regulations, and OMB Uniform Guidance. They focus on assessing internal control systems and regulatory adherence.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop the scope and objectives of the audit   
  • Conduct entrance and exit conferences with the grantee
  • Finalize the audit report and ensure recommendations are clearly communicated.
    • Review internal control systems and identify weaknesses
  • Verify that expenditures align with the grant's allowable cost principles.
  • Ensure adherence to federal acquisition regulations (FAR) in procurement-related
  • Make recommendations for improvements in compliance


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess at least 3 years of experience in financial auditing and analysis, ideally with prior experience in auditing federal grants
  • Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
