Location:
Remote (EST Time Zones)
Salary Range:
up to 1700 USD

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join a growing financial team. In this role, you will handle all data entry for bookkeeping clients using QuickBooks Online, Excel, and Microsoft Teams. The Accounting Associate will follow accrual accounting principles and report to the Senior Accounting Associate based in Mexico. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry and bookkeeping for clients using accrual accounting.
  • Manage and organize source data for accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Accounting Associate on all engagements and ensure timely delivery of client bookkeeping.
  • Assist in updating standard operating documents for efficiency.
  • Ensure all entries comply with established accounting standards and procedures.
  • Work with QuickBooks Online and Excel for daily tasks.
  • Maintain excellent communication via Microsoft Teams and email.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn about small businesses and their financial operations.
  • Fluent in English (B2-C1).

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Prior experience working with accounting firms or small businesses.
  • Familiarity with accrual-based accounting principles.
  • Experience working in a LATAM time zone.
