Job Overview:

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will serve as a point of technical escalation for security team members and assist the group manager with all facets related to customer deployments, configuration, and troubleshooting for associated security tools & platforms.  This position will also meet with customer contacts during initial service onboarding and throughout the account lifecycle to provide service metrics/reporting and to ensure service SLA’s and general customer satisfaction are being maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy robust security solutions to protect Coretelligent's clients networks, systems, and data.
  • Regularly analyze vulnerabilities and risks, proactively identifying potential security threats and gaps by reviewing various security tools.
  • Manage the full incident response lifecycle, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Oversee SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other tools to detect and respond to security events.
  • Create, update, and enforce security standards and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure adherence to regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other industry standards.
  • Integrate security measures into IT infrastructure and software development processes, ensuring security is considered throughout the lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to junior cybersecurity staff to build their technical expertise and understanding.
  • Propose and implement strategies to minimize security risks and improve overall cybersecurity posture.
  • Take on the responsibility of an incident manager. Manage the full incident response lifecycle across teams, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Responsible for continuous maintenance of SIEM/XDR platform (i.e. troubleshooting syslog ingestion, ensuring sensors are online, tuning and automation, ensure integrations are healthy).

 

 

 

Required Skills:

  • Advanced cyber security specific certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.)
  • Technical security certification (At least one required: CySA+, Sec+, GIAC, ISC2, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer).
  • VMware vSphere Administration / Expertise.
  • Advanced networking experience and/or certifications.
  • Familiar with scripting languages and/or automation tools (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Chef etc.).
  • Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

 

 

Salary Range for this position (depending upon experience): 

$110,000$135,000

 

This range reflects the minimum and maximum targets for new hires across all US locations (with the exception of MA, NY, and CA). Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, work location, and relevant education or training.
