Our team is looking for a Coordinator, Volunteer Program Design on a 12-month contract working 35 hours per week anywhere in Canada. The impact you will have:

The Coordinator, Volunteer Program Design supports all aspects of the volunteer life cycle, with a focus on optimizing our systems (Salesforce) and processes to further engage, inform, and inspire the volunteer community. This role supports the design and evaluation of volunteer programs to assess impact and encourage collective action in support of our mission. The Coordinator, Volunteer Program Design will:

  • Contribute to the design of volunteer initiatives and resources that supports the volunteer life cycle, with a focus on volunteer onboarding, training and recognition
  • Develop and refine Salesforce processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, to support volunteer management and engagement strategies
  • Collaborate with internal and external MS community members to understand volunteer needs.
  • Provide input on volunteer strategy

Requirements

Our ideal candidate:
  • Has experience in volunteer management and program design
  • Has experience in community engagement and working with volunteers
  • Has a certification or education in volunteer administration (considered an asset)
  • Has experience in Salesforce or other customer relationship management system (considered an asset)
  • Will work with  MS community members in a cooperative and supportive manner to achieve shared goals
  • Contributes to an environment in which everyone feels valued, a sense of belonging, and empowered to participate freely
  • Keeps internal and external MS community members top of mind while providing an exceptional experience
  • Thinks beyond the confines of traditional ways of doing things to recognize opportunities and find new and better approaches
  • Can use data to gain insights, solve problems and inform decisions
  • Has the ability to understand and align actions with the organization’s goals, core functions, needs and values
  • Can create, deliver and evaluate people programs, practices, policies and processes for volunteers
  • Has the ability to use industry and constituent information to guide program design and development for MS community members
