Role Description

We are seeking a versatile Graphic Designer to support a beauty/skincare client in the e-Commerce space. As a Graphic Designer, you will work closely with their marketing team to design and produce visual and video assets for a variety of projects, focusing heavily on performance marketing media and paid social media content.

Responsibilities
Email Marketing Design
  • Create banners for email creative, working closely with the email marketing and marketing lead on creating a compelling content calendar. Produce 3-5 new assets per week.
  • Design tests for email campaigns, collaborating with the copywriter and CRM lead on content strategy.
  • Create visually stunning designs for email, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Lead the development and execution of digital design concepts for email campaigns.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and standards while bringing fresh and creative ideas to the table.
  • Work efficiently on tight timelines and iterate given feedback from multiple stakeholders.
UI/UX & CRO
  • Analyze the existing e-commerce site on Shopify using data, heat maps, and conversion results to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and develop A/B tests to improve site performance and user engagement.
  • Create structured designs with component systems, adhering to guidelines for spacing, padding, typography, and color styles.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement changes and review results post-implementation.
  • Deliver work product on cloud-design platforms like Figma and Canva, depending on client preferences.
  • Manage design projects from discovery and strategy to ideation, iteration, and hand-off.
Organic & Paid Media
  • Produce and edit video content, particularly user-generated content (UGC) for paid social media campaigns.
  • Work with the PPC Marketing Team and external agencies to source and create creative assets for sponsored paid social campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
  • Use UGC content and cut influencer video content into highly converting ads.
  • Understand and apply best practices for organic and paid media to drive traffic to e-commerce sites.

Requirements

Requirements
  • E-commerce Experience: Proven experience working in e-commerce, with specific expertise in Shopify. Experience in the beauty or skincare space is a plus.
  • Email Marketing Tools: Proficiency in Klaviyo or similar email marketing platforms.
  • A/B Testing: Demonstrated experience designing and conducting A/B tests. Candidates should provide specific examples in their application, detailing the tests conducted, performance improvements achieved, and data points supporting the results.
  • Performance Focus: A balance of creativity and performance orientation, using both left brain and right brain thinking. Candidates should be motivated by driving sales and improving performance metrics.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adjust schedules to collaborate with clients based in the United States.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and cloud-design platforms like Figma and Canva.
  • Creative & Analytical: Strong ability to bring fresh, creative ideas while adhering to brand guidelines and standards. Must be able to leverage data, heat maps, and conversion results to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently on tight timelines, iterating based on feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Experience managing design projects from discovery and strategy to ideation, iteration, and hand-off.

Portfolio Requirements: Candidates will only be considered if in your application you submit or link to a robust portfolio showcasing:

  • Multiple examples of email designs for e-commerce.
  • UI/UX designs for e-commerce sites you worked on.
  • Paid and organic social media posts that are used to drive revenue for a brand.
